Stop guessing how many proxies you need. This free calculator has two modes. Web Scraping mode estimates the number of IPs and the monthly bandwidth for a given request volume, concurrency and target difficulty, and tells you whether rotating residential or datacenter proxies fit. Frequently Asked Questions
It depends on concurrency and how aggressively the target blocks, not just total volume. As a rule of thumb you want enough IPs that no single IP exceeds a safe request rate. Easy targets tolerate many requests per IP; sites behind Cloudflare or DataDome need far more rotating residential IPs and a browser-accurate fingerprint. The calculator estimates the count for your inputs.
Common safe ratios are about 3 to 4 social accounts per residential or static ISP IP, 5 to 8 per mobile IP, and only 1 to 2 per datacenter IP. Platforms like Instagram start flagging when too many accounts share one IP, so one clean IP per profile with sticky sessions is safest.
Multiply pages by average page size. Text-only pages are small, but JavaScript-heavy pages with images can be 1 to 5 MB each. The calculator turns your page volume into an estimated monthly GB figure so you can pick the right residential plan.
Datacenter is cheapest and fastest but easiest to detect, fine for easy targets. Residential rotating IPs win on hard anti-bot sites and multi-account work. Static ISP combines residential trust with datacenter speed for long-lived logins. Mobile is the most trusted and rotates naturally, best for the strictest platforms. The calculator recommends a type based on your inputs.
