Frequently Asked Questions
We support ip:port, ip:port:user:pass, and user:pass@ip:port formats. If your proxies are in a different format, use our Proxy Format Converter first.
Extended Mode fetches additional data for each proxy's exit IP including geolocation (country, city), VPN detection, proxy detection, Tor detection, and datacenter identification.
We use IPinfo.io's database to identify if an IP belongs to a known VPN provider, proxy service, Tor exit node, or datacenter. Clean IPs show no detection flags.
Common reasons include incorrect credentials (HTTP 407), proxy offline or blocking connections, firewall issues, or timeout. Hover over the error for a human-readable explanation.
Latency is measured as the round-trip time from our server to httpbin.org through your proxy. Green (<500ms) is fast, yellow (<1000ms) is okay, red (>1000ms) is slow.
