Servers

The RDP port is 33389, not the usual 3389. This is the single most common reason a connection fails. Most clients assume 3389 when you leave the port out, so type it in explicitly.

In Windows Remote Desktop, enter the address exactly as the dashboard shows it:

Your username and password are on the server's detail page in the dashboard, under My Servers. The password sits behind an eye icon, and every field has a copy button next to it.

Your server also has its own IPv4 and IPv6 addresses listed on the same page, in case you need to point something at them directly.

The detail page has three controls that do what they say. Each is disabled when it would make no sense: you cannot start a running machine, and you cannot stop or reboot one that is already off.

Status can lag briefly after you press one. The dashboard shows what it expects to happen, then corrects itself to the machine's real state on the next refresh.

Reinstalling erases everything on the machine and cannot be undone.

It installs a fresh copy of the operating system your server already runs. There is no OS picker, it reuses the current one.

The password changes. A new one is generated during the reinstall, and the old one stops working. Read the new password from the dashboard afterwards, it is not sent to you.

Reinstalling is the only way to genuinely change your server's password. There is no separate password-change control, and you should treat what the dashboard shows as the password it was given at setup.

How renewal works depends on how you paid.

Paid by card Your server runs on a subscription and renews itself. There is no expiry date, and no renewal button. Everything, including cancelling, goes through the Manage Subscription button, which opens the billing portal.

Paid with crypto Your server has a fixed end date and a Renew button next to it. You will get reminder emails 7 days, 3 days and 1 day before it runs out, and a message on Discord if your account is linked.

When a server expires, its entry disappears from your dashboard, along with the stored password and IP. Note them down somewhere else if you might want them, and renew before the date rather than after it.

A new server takes a little while to appear. During that time it shows as *provisioning* and its address and username may still be blank.

You will get a Your Server is Ready email with the address, the port and your username once it is up. If it has not arrived, open My Servers in the dashboard: that page checks the live status and is what triggers the email.

If the machine still has not appeared after a few minutes, contact support rather than ordering a second one.
